Introducing: Agua tileable textiles
Agua is proud to offer tileable textiles, now free to download and compatible with a range of 3D CGI software packages
There has been a big shift over the last few years with how fabrics and finishes are specified in the commercial world. Digital technologies are constantly advancing, and there has been increased use of CGI software in interior design, which allows clients to envision what a finished project will look like through their screens.
Furniture manufacturers have recreated their furniture models for CGI platforms, and different fabrics can just be dropped onto them virtually, helping show the finished product. We’ve been working behind the scenes on our own ‘tileable textiles’, which mimic our real-life fabric collections in the digital world. Thanks to clever 3D technology, you can apply one of our fabrics, say Dales, through your chosen CGI platform, and it will recreate the unique texture and colour of the textile virtually.
If the fabric image isn’t ‘tileable’ then what you get is a checkerboard effect. For this reason you need to have a seamless tileable image, so it looks exactly as it should. Our tileable textiles are compatible with CGI software including Sketch Up, Revit, BIM and pCON. We have tested our tileable images on all of these and they all work perfectly. Agua will be available through the pCON catalogue in the summer.
We have ensured our tileable images have everything that the CGI software might need, including 7 different maps. So whether it is a sophisticated piece of software or a more simple one, the user will have everything they need to show Agua in the best light possible. We think the end result is incredibly accurate, and our fabrics look as realistic as possible, both in texture and colour.
