It was fantastic to be in our new London home Material Source Studio London for its first Clerkenwell Design Week. A thriving hub of design, it had lots of new visitors to the space following its opening in October 2025. There really is no where else like it in Clerkenwell.
The MSS partner community is fantastic with lots of networking opportunities and a home for the design community to gather, work and learn. We were also thankful that the spring British weather didn’t stop people from turning out in numbers across the three days, and the expected tube strikes were called off, which meant getting around was nice and easy.
Outside of Material Source, two places that Agua visited for inspiration during the week were Old Sessions House and the Crypt. There were some really interesting designs on show for the three days in two spaces that are really quite unique for the exhibition.
We noticed that texture is still very much in as per last year. Softness and interesting textures were on show everywhere including the Agua display at Material Source. These are two traits we focussed on with our new launches Rizada and Oruga, which were on display at CDW and are available to order now.
It was nice to see what we refer to as pretty colours on display and not just the standard neutral colourways. From some soft two-tone pale blues to sophisticated golds, it was great to see colour really being used in the way we know it can.
We can’t wait for CDW next year where we know Material Source will be even busier and a more established part of the Clerkenwell trail. We’ll see you there!
